I wonder why the month of May seemed to come and go so quickly. But then I remember the crazy life changes we were preparing for and why those weeks flew by:
- Chuck was super busy with track season at the middle school and packing up his classroom in his "spare time" to prepare for our move and his new job at Trinity.
- We still didn't know if/when we would sell our house at that point or where we were going to live in Illinois. Yet, the start date of Chuck's new job was looming on the horizon as we scrambled to figure out what we would do for housing!
- We attempted to pack up our house while still keeping it in acceptable condition for showings (though we ended up having next to no activity on our house during May...)
- We anticipated our first family vacation at the beginning of June - a crazy time for us to even think about packing up for a time away during the middle of a move. :)
Amidst the crazy, we remained grateful for so much. Zoe especially provided constant reminders of the important things in life. Here is just a snapshot (or a few!) of the month of May in the Commeret Corner of life...
